Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Nairobi National Park.

On the first day of the safari, you will be picked up at your hotel in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 7am by your safari guide, where you will be briefed about the one-day safari, and then transferred to Nairobi National Park. The park is located on the outskirts of the capital city and sounds like one of the popular safari destinations in Kenya to spot rhinos. There are over 100 species of mammals staying in this park. With the exception of elephants, more than four of the Big Five species can be found there.

Once you reach the park, you will enjoy the morning game drive, where you will spot a variety of animal species, including lions, leopards, African buffalos, black rhinoceroses, giraffes, hippopotamuses, spotted hyenas, blue wildebeests, plains zebras, cheetahs, Thomson’s gazelles, Grant’s gazelles, common elands, impalas, hartebeests, waterbucks, common warthogs, olive baboons, black-backed jackals, common ostriches, and various bird species, including Abyssinian thrushes, corncrakes, Fischer’s lovebirds, Grey crowned cranes, Hartlaub’s bustards, Jackson’s widowbirds, Kori bustards, and Lappet-faced vultures, among many others.

You will also visit the Sheldrick Animal orphanage that is located inside the park; this is a heartwarming and unforgettable experience that offers a unique insight into the lives of the rescued elephants, giraffes and other animals.

You will have the chance to observe these incredible creatures up close, learning about their stories of rescue and rehabilitation and witnessing the dedicated care and love provided by the orphanage’s team. The highlight of the visit is the feeding and bathing session, where you can watch the elephants frolic and play and even get the chance to interact with them, thus creating lifelong memories of this special encounter. After the morning game drive, you will go for lunch in the nearby restaurant or in Nairobi.

After lunch, the experience of being transferred to the Giraffe Centre would be a perfect way to end the tour.
