4 day Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru safari : Explore Maasai Mara National Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park on a tour departing from Nairobi city. Dive deeply into the plains of Africa and embark on daily game drives around the park. This Maasai Mara plain is home to all five of the Big Five, as well as numerous mammals and birds. See the magnificent “Great Migration” in the park, as well as the animals that come out to feed after sunset. You can also spot crocodiles and hippos by the banks of the Mara River. Optional: go on a balloon safari and tour a Maasai cultural tour.
A bird watcher’s paradise, Lake Nakuru National Park is encircled by forested and shrubby grasslands. Savour the wide range of ecological richness and diverse habitats, which include the scenic ridges, the adjacent escarpment, and Lake Nakuru itself.  Rothschild giraffes and endangered White and Black rhinos are among the animals. In the park, water bucks and lions and leopards are frequent predators.

4 day Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru safari Highlights

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve.

On the first day of the safari, your safari guide will either pick you from your hotel or Kenyatta International Airport at around 8:00 am and brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will depart Nairobi to Maasai Mara Game Reserve with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint with lunch enroute along the way. You will arrive Maasai mara in the afternoon, and proceed for a game drive dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 2: Full day in Maasai Mara.

On the second day of the safari, you will get up early in the morning and be served with a delicious breakfast, then meet your safari guide. You spent the entire day touring this fascinating reserve, which is actually the northern portion of the well-known Serengeti National Park, with a picnic lunch. You will get to spot the big five mammals like the lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards and rhinos and among many others. Without forgetting sighting the beautiful and incredible bird species. Meals and overnight at camp.

Day 3: Maasai mara/Nakuru.

On the third day of the safari, you will get up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast, with the chance to go for a Maasai cultural tour. Then check out and depart for Lake Nakuru with game drive enroute and lunch enroute. Once you arrive Lake Nakuru, you are going to check in your camp for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay. 

Day 4: Day Lake Nakuru/Nairobi.

On the fourth day of your safari, get up early in the morning and have breakfast. After breakfast proceed for a morning game drive to Lake Nakuru which is world renowned for its masses of flamingoes and is often referred to as the “Pink Lake”. In addition to birds, the neighboring gardens may provide a glimpse of small wildlife like as Buffalo, Impala, Water Buck, and Rhinos. After lunch check out from the lodge and depart to Nairobi arriving around 4/5pm in the evening and your safari guide will drop you off at any place of your convenience.
