Luxurious safari accommodations in North Coast : North coast Hotels is a collection of accommodation safari facilities along the coast between Mombasa and Malindi. These are hotel facilities found in Mtwapa Creek, Nyali Beach, Bamburu Beach, Shanzu Beach, Kenyatta Beach, and Kilifi. The Nyali Bridge in Mombasa, which links the island to the north coast, is located 70 kilometres north of Kilifi. Nestled in beachfront grounds, the Kenya Bay Beach Hotel offers breathtaking views of Bamburi Beach. Kenya Beach Hotel renamed Kenya Bay in 2003. The hotel has one hundred rooms, divided between standard, superior, and premium en suite accommodations. Air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, phone, safe, and balcony (double or twin) are amenities found in standard rooms. Views of gardens are available in the better rooms. The luxury suites at the hotel have a view of the beach. The lower floor has two rooms set out for guests with special needs. Situated on the beach, the main pool has a kids’ pool adjacent to it.
The seaside Frangipani Bar and Restaurant offers a la carte options that include delicacies like chicken schnitzel, Punjab murgh masala, chicken Kiev and prawns Creole, as well as Szechuan shredded pork, chocolate mousse cheesecake, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, hot dogs and samosas. With table tennis and pool tables, the Jacaranda Bar is exclusive to guests on the all-inclusive package. All bars serve drinks, have a full liquor cabinet and have a wine list. Kilifi Bay Beach Resort
Kilifi Bay Beach Resort is encircled by 26,000 square metres of tropical vegetation and has 130 metres of sandy beach. With complete privacy, the resort is the only place to stay along this specific beach. Among the 49 en suite accommodations are forty-nine family-friendly suites with a double room, twin room, sitting space and bathroom. World cuisine is offered in the main dining room, which hosts a weekly theme night and BBQ. The is also a seafood restaurant offering a la carte service. The three bars are located in the lounge, on the beach, and beside the main pool. The resort’s centre features a sizable pool, and the front desk is adjacent to a smaller pool. Eighty chairs, an LCD projector, and PCs are all part of the conference room.
Turtle Bay Beach Club
The 10-acre, immaculately landscaped Turtle Bay Beach Club is located on the border of Watamu Marine National Park. Ecotourism Kenya presented Turtle Bay, also referred to as the responsible resort, with a coveted gold medal. Every one of the 89 super club rooms has a double or single bed; three may accommodate guests with special requirements; and several have doors that join. The 40 rooms in Lamu are designed as cottage-style double rooms. There is immediate beach access from the patios of the 14 rooms that face the coast. The two junior suites each have a sitting room with a refrigerator. Each room is equipped with a hair dryer, air conditioning, fan, kettle and ensuite bathroom.
Buffets for breakfast and dinner are served at the main restaurant by the swimming pool. At a snack bar, buffet is served during lunch. Dinner at the seaside Seashell Restaurant, which serves an a la carte menu, requires reservations. There’s also a Pizza Garden, Weaver’s Nest Bar, Canoe Bar and Pool Bar. The club offers entertainment in the evenings, including theme nights. The club offers paddle skis, pedalos, tennis courts, bikes, boogie boards, canoes, and catamarans. Activities organised by the Fun Base Team include beach volleyball, beach football, table tennis, snorkelling, bird viewing, water polo, tug-of-war, beach football, beach Olympics, and Swahili lessons. Children can take part in the supervised Mini Club and play in Tarzan’s Tree House. The Gede Ruins, Kipepeo Butterfly Farm, Arabuko Sokoke Forest, and Mida Creek are a few of the neighbouring attractions.
Serena Beach Hotel
On calm Shanzu Beach, the Serena Beach Hotel and Spa offers a range of services and events. The hotel is designed to resemble a Swahili village from the thirteenth century, replete with bustling marketplaces and winding streets. The central feature of the building is the coral Fortress of Tranquillity, which houses the Maisha Mind Body and Spirit Spa. A variety of suites are available in addition to the 32 prime rooms, 48 garden rooms, and 66 village rooms. Each room features air conditioning, WiFi, satellite TV, and a phone with voicemail. Hemingway Resort
Sitting on the edge of Watamu Marine National Park is the opulent Hemingway Resort, a tropical sanctuary. It bears Ernest Hemingway’s name and emulates the elegance and flair of this renowned author. Hemingways is divided into two accommodation wings, one on either side of the main structure housing the business centre, dining options, bars, and reception area. The hotel has 76 en suite rooms, which come with a private terrace with panoramic views, air conditioning, a fan, and a view of the sea, it has executive suites split into two, four junior suites, 26 superior rooms, and 44 deluxe rooms. The hotel blends both traditional features of seaside and the modern architecture which includes tile floors, whitewashed walls, and thatched roofs. The rooms are decorated with bespoke furnishings, vivid linens, and lamps with hand-painted shades.
The executive chef uses fresh produce from the area in his recipes. The restaurant serves a buffet or table d’hote that includes dishes including seafood casserole, cheese plates, vegetable curry, and lobster tail. Lunch is provided poolside or on the terrace outside.
